New Features and Important Changes in GammaLib 1.3.1 6 July 2017 1. Introduction --------------- This document briefly summarizes module by module the most important changes made since the last release of GammaLib. 2. Public interface modifications --------------------------------- The following classes have been added: - n.a. The following classes have been removed: - n.a. The following classes have been renamed: - n.a. The following methods have been added: - n.a. The following methods have been removed: - n.a. The following methods have been renamed: - n.a. The arguments for the following methods have been changed: - n.a. The return value of the following methods has been changed: - n.a. 3. Configuration ----------------- None 4. Application module --------------------- None 5. Base module -------------- None 6. FITS I/O Interface --------------------- None 7. Linear algebra module ------------------------ None 8. Model module --------------- The normalisation values of light and phase curves shall not exceed values of 1 but due to rounding problems when reading the FITS file it can happen that slightly larger value occur. To circumvent the issue a small margin of 1e-8 has been added to the maximum value of 1, well below the required precision for flux normalisations (#2149). 9. Numerics module ------------------ None 10. Observation module ---------------------- None 11. Optimization module ----------------------- None 12. Sky module -------------- The GSkyDir class now signals that ra/dec or l/b are cached when they were computed in the gal2equ() and equ2gal() methods, improving hence the speed of the clients (#2148). 13. Support module ------------------ None 14. XML module -------------- None 15. VO module ------------- None 16. Xspec module ---------------- None 17. Test module --------------- None 18. Multi-wavelength interface ------------------------------ None 19. Fermi-LAT interface ---------------------- None 20. CTA interface ----------------- The GCTAPsfKing::r_max() method returned an infinite radius for a too small gamma parameter. If the gamma parameter is too small the method now returns a maximum radius of zero, and the GCTAPsfKing::update() method will set the normalization to zero (#2133). 21. COMPTEL interface --------------------- None
