New Features and Important Changes in ctools 1.0.0 Author(s) : Juergen Knoedlseder 19 November 2015 1. Introduction --------------- This document briefly summarizes executable by executable the most important changes made since the last release of ctools. The code complies to GammaLib version 1.0.0 or above. 2. Configuration ----------------- A special post processing of the Python module libraries has been added for Mac OS X 10.11 and higher (El Capitan). This post processing is a replacement for setting DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH during unit testing since the environment variable is ignored in certain circumstances by El Capitan. 3. Python interface ------------------- None 4. Support model ---------------- None 5. ctobssim - CTA observation simulation ---------------------------------------- None 6. ctselect - CTA event selection --------------------------------- None 7. ctbin - CTA event binning ---------------------------- None 8. ctlike - Maximum likelihood fitting -------------------------------------- None 9. cttsmap - Generation of Test Statistics map ---------------------------------------------- None 10. ctskymap - CTA sky mapping ------------------------------ None 11. ctmodel - CTA counts cube modelling --------------------------------------- None 12. ctexpcube - CTA exposure cube generation -------------------------------------------- None 13. ctpsfcube - CTA point spread function cube generation --------------------------------------------------------- None 14. ctbkgcube - CTA background cube generation ---------------------------------------------- None 15. ctcubemask - CTA cube filtering ----------------------------------- Allow to ignore the spatial filtering by specifying NONE parameters for "ra", "dec" or "rad". 16. ctbutterfly - Generate butterfly diagrams --------------------------------------------- None 17. ctulimit - Compute upper limit ---------------------------------- None 18. cterror - Likelihood profile error computation -------------------------------------------------- None 19. cscripts ------------ The csspec script now handled correctly stacked data. Dependent on the requested energy binning, it selects for each spectral energy bin the relevant energy bins from the counts cube and performs a maximum likelihood analysis. 20. Examples ------------ None 21. caldb --------- None 22. models ---------- None
