• If an application is constructed from the command line arguments with the --help option the application parameters are not loaded, and the destructor saved before the empty parameter container to disk, which effectively emptied the parameter file. Now the desctructor only save the parameters if they have been loaded before.

  • On Mac OS X I encountered some KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS problems in the GLog::append() method. A possible reason to this was the test of the value of m_buffer[m_buffer.size()-1] without checking whether m_buffer.size() was positive. I added the test, hopefully the KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS problem (which was spurious) goes away.

  • Dates were appended in the middle of a text block if the buffer was flushed before a \n character was reached. A private member m_linestart has been added that tracks whether the buffer is actually at a line start or the middle of a text block. Dates are only set at the beginning of the buffer is the buffer is at a line start.

  • The GFits class now derives from GContainer and implements all generic container class methods (at(), size(), isempty(), set(), append(), insert(), remove(), reserve(), extend()). The hashdu() method has been renamed to contains() for compliance with other container classes. The hdu() methods have been renamed to at(), also for compliance. Boolean arguments are now passed as const references, and members are returned as const references. HDU access operators[] have been implemented to access FITS extensions without range checking.
