The swig files are needed for building of the ctools bindings, hence we put back the distribution of these files.
-
Summarize bug fix changes.
-
On new Mac OS X systems (>=10.7) we should select by default the clang++ compiler instead of the g++ compiler. The order of the compilers was thus changed on the compiler search, so that clang++ is detected before g++. As most other systems have no clang++ compiler (at least for the moment), this should not distrube the g++ discovery on these systems.
-
Formerly, the GammaLib swig files were needed to build the ctools binding, and for that reason the swig files were installed globally. This is not needed anymore. We therefore do no longer install the swig files.
-
sum function checked failed for clang on i386.

General typemaps have been defined to access index arrays through Python tuples. Typical usage of these tuples is the access of matrix elements, FITS image pixels or table columns, of skymap pixels. In the long run, these generic typemaps should be used throughout the GammaLib project for easier maintenance.
-
Implement matrix access operators that use Python tuples. For handling of Python tuples, a special SWIG file names GTypemaps.i was created. This file has to be included to expose the typemaps to the interface.
-
Matrix elements are now also displayed using the print() method. Note that for matrices with more than a given number of rows and columns (10 for the time being), excedent elements will be replaced by ..., showing only the corners of the matrix.
-
Adapt the unit test for the usage of the new GammaLib test suite. Test reports are now reported in a JUnit compliant XML file.
-
Added an integer parameter to print_elements() method that allows limiting the maximum number of rows and columns in the output. If more rows and/or columns are present than the number specified by the parameter, the excedent elements will be replaced by "..." in the centre of the matrix (i.e. only the corner elements of the matrix will be shown). If the parameter is set to 0, all matrix elements will be printed. The parameter defaults to 10.
-
For cosmetic reasons the include directives have been reordered.
-
Some debug code was added to track down some problems in the GSparseMatrix class. The next step will be the modification to use the test suite.
-
Improve some error messages so that more information is available in the report in case of failures.
-
The matrix classes have been refactored and made compliant to actual coding standards. Furthermore, the != operator has been fixed as it was not testing the full matrix before. This revealed another problem with the fill stack that was corrupted for vector fills. The internal array m_stack_work was used by the vector fill stack method and the flush method, and the flush method corrupted the vector fill values before they were used. To solve this issue, an additional working array m_stack_rows has been introduced that is now exclusively used by the vector fill stack. The m_stack_work working array is now exclusively used by the flush method.
-
The matrix tools module is not needed anymore as the conversion constructors were put back into the matrix classes.
-
Include the cstdlib header as this header is needed to exposure the system function.
-
Added a test_value() method for integer comparisons that automatically informs about the mismatches. This increases the readability of the test results.
-
According to the property of the GMatrix class, the allocation of an empty matrix (i.e. with zero rows and columns) is now allowed.
-
Macros are now used to reduce the code complexity and guarantee uniform testing of all classes. The tests have furthermore been adapted to the new unit test suite.
-
Add the Python paths to the instrument test directories so that the test script can import the instrument test scripts. Add GOptimizer test to the test suites.
-
Append module name to the dummy test name so that we can see immediately which dummy test is executed.
-
The test used initially the LAT observation class, and therefore was not really executed. Now the new observation test class is used, and tests are performed for binned and unbinned analysis.
