The dir2pix() method used in GSkyMap::contains may throw an exception if the coordinate transformation fails. In this case we should signal that the sky direction is not contained in the map, hence we catch the exception and set the containment flag to false.

The gammalib::xml_file_expand and gammalib::xml_file_reduce methods were modified to accomodate also for relative file paths in an XML file. Now the files towards which the XML file points can also reside in a subdirectory relative to the XML file.

The fitting of a model without any parameters did not work following the introduction of the vector-wise response evaluation due to a constraint in the GObservations::likelihood::eval() method that imposed at minima one parameter. This was a relict of the old matrix interface, where the creation of an empty matrix was not allowed. The constraint was removed, which makes the code more general.
