The post-processing of .py files led to a modification of the .py files during the install process. I thus removed the post-processing step and added explicitely all classes and casts that should be imported. This is done by scanning all models for class and cast definitions, and by adding all names to the __all__ list.

The Python wrapper files are modified by the script each time it is run. This changed the owners of these files during installation to root, making the ineditable afterwards. I changed the logic so that the wrapper file modifications are only done during the build step. No modifications are done during the install step, hence no file ownerships are changed anymore.

For proper usage of the GBase class within Python, the base module is required.
-
The base module only constains abstract base classes, hence we don't need Python wrappers for the model. The respective base classes can be imported directly.
-
A base module has been added to implement the os and GLog streamer at the base level. This has also be done for Python.

Conflicts: configure.ac test/Makefile.am Both conflicts have been resolved.

The Darwin kluge that consisted of linking statically with the GammaLib library for unit testing created a problem in the unit test when using the gcc compiler. Specifically, an exception thrown in purpose during the HealPix test was not caught. It turned out that the problem was related to the static linking. Linking dynamically did not produce the problem. Furthermore, it also turned out that the Apple compiler also works using the dynamically linked library during unit testing. I have no idea why this was a problem before, but now it is no longer a problem. I therefore removed the Darwin kluge of static linking. Furthermore, a post-processing step was added that creates a symbolic link to the directory that contains the shared wrapper libraries. In that way, we do not need a double compilation anymore (before, we compiled once for the install and a second time for the unit test). This should now speed up the unit testing step.

The swig files are needed for building of the ctools bindings, hence we put back the distribution of these files.
-
Formerly, the GammaLib swig files were needed to build the ctools binding, and for that reason the swig files were installed globally. This is not needed anymore. We therefore do no longer install the swig files.

The swig modules *.py are post-processed so that "import XXX" directives are replaced by "from XXX import *" directives. Furthermore, the path information is stripped from base class invocations, e.g., "gammalib.obs.GRoi" becomes "GRoi". This post-processing step solves partially the change request #432. The gammalib module is not imported nested anymore. The gammalib submodules are, however, still present, so a GammaLib class can still be accessed in 2 ways (GRoi and obs.GRoi).
-
On Python 3, gammalib has to be prepented to the %import directives to allow proper loading of the modules. On Python 2 this seems to have no impact. Note that a side effect of the actual module scheme is that gammalib is imported nested.

Python compatibility brackets PYTHON_OPEN and PYTHON_CLOSE have been introducted that are either set to " " and "" for Python version 2 or to "(" and ")" for Python version 3. These brackets can then be used to provide Python version independent code. In particular, these brackets are used in the setup.py script. -

The directory tree has been setup for the development of the COMPTEL module. Instructions have been added to the various Makefile.am and to configure.ac to detect and to configure the library for inclusing of the COMPTEL module. The pyext/setup.py.in script has also bee adapted. A simple test case has been written for loading of COMPTEL data into an observation. The summary include file and the summary swig files have been setup.
